Steph is the Operations Director at Fishbone, leading operational delivery across the business and ensuring projects are well governed and delivered with consistency, quality and care. She has overall responsibility for the management and delivery of engineering and innovation programmes, alongside the development of digital products and services, including rolling stock assurance and Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM) predictive maintenance solutions that apply data analytics to improve asset performance.

Alongside project delivery, Steph is responsible for strengthening internal governance and aligning operational practices with wider business requirements. She oversees project accounting and performance across time, cost and quality, quality management systems, and continuous improvement activity, using these to drive meaningful and sustainable operational improvements. Working closely with teams across the business, she plays a key role in supporting Fishbone’s long‑term growth and operational maturity.

A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Steph has spent her career in the rail industry and brings experience across a wide range of rail environments, including rolling stock, light rail, signalling and infrastructure. She has a strong interest in how technology, data and digital tools can be applied pragmatically to improve asset management, operational efficiency and service delivery across rail and other transport sectors.
