Prior to joining the rail industry, Luke was a dual-trained Aircraft Engineer working on Harrier and Eurofighter Typhoon squadrons. He gained a first-class degree in Engineering and became a Chartered Engineer in 2020 with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Luke has an extensive breadth of knowledge accumulated through engagement in design, maintenance, operations, development, modification, testing, commissioning, and coordination of mechanical and electrical engineering projects in rail freight and passenger train and infrastructure environments. He is currently Head of Operations Engineering at Fishbone and leads a variety of product introduction and condition-based maintenance extension projects.
