Aston Martin LagondaFishbone has provided a range of engineering services to Aston Martin Lagonda since 2013. Following the inception of the RapidE project in 2016, Fishbone delivered components and integration tasks as a ‘Managed Engineering’ service outsourced project for Aston Martin Lagonda (AML).
Working closely with AML engineers, management and programme teams, and delivering the project in line with AML’s MISSION PIP, Fishbone played a fundamental part in the project.
Fishbone delivered the following aspects of the electrical system for the car:

- Connected Car / Telematics solution

- Low Voltage (LV) wiring harnesses

- Electrical Integration of EV Powertrain to donor vehicle electrical architecture
- CAN topology and architecture definition
- Functional Integration
- Use-case definition for EV features
- Prototype / Launch / Quality / Manufacturing liaison and support
Important to the success of the project was to build strong relationships with key suppliers.
Fishbone deployed a number of processes to manage deliverables in line with Aston Martin’s quality expectations.
Fishbone aligned all deliverables to the AML MISSION process, achieving a successful ‘Final Data Judgement’ milestone for the outsourced deliverables and commodities, which signifies the end of the engineering design phase and the commencement of the launch phase of the project.
