Position Title:        Full Stack Software Developer

Reports To:            Software Development Manager

Status:                       Permanent, Full Time

Location:                 Hybrid (Derby, UK)

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with strong front-end expertise to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements engineering and system design to development, testing, and deployment—while gaining exposure to varied projects, architectures, and technologies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement responsive user interfaces from wireframes
• Design and build modern, user-friendly web applications in line with web application security standards
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
• Translate ERDs into efficient and scalable database structures
• Develop SQL Queries
• Integrate cloud-based services and deploy containerised applications on the cloud

Technical skills

Proficiency in:

• React,
• Node.js,
• Express.js,
• Next.js,
• Nest.js,
• TypeORM,
• SQL,
• UI frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap),
• Docker

Additional skills

• Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience developing mobile applications will be considered a plus.

Experience requirements

Three to five years of hands-on experience developing professional-grade applications.
